Connor got a Shrek toy in a happy meal the other day that included a few trivia questions about the Shrek movies. He's seen Shrek and Shrek 2 a couple times each and he did amazingly well, answering questions like "Is Dragon a boy or a girl?", "What color are Gingy's buttons?" and "What does Shrek take a bath in?" all correctly. He thinks they're all supposed to be jokes, though, so each time he would answer he would say it like a punchline and laugh - something like "What color is the feather in Puss in Boots' hat?" "YELLOW!! HAHAHA!!!" The last question went like this...
Me: Why did the blind mouse bite Shrek's ear?
Connor: His ear? I don't know.
Me: He thought it was cheese!
Connor: HAHAHA! He thought it was JESUS! HAHAHA!
Me (laughing uncontrollably): Not Jesus, Connor. CHEESE!
Connor: Oh, right, cheese.
Ok, maybe you had to be there...it was hilarious :)

Hi there! Thanks for the nice welcome to Longmont! We just moved here in June and are enjoying it very much!!! We are also new to the blog concept, so I was surprised to see a comment from someone in our new hometown! Thank you! I read just a few of your posts, and I have to say that I like the "Blue Skies" name best too, as there truly are the bluest skies I've ever seen here in CO...especially at the summit of Rocky Mountain National Park! I didn't know there were new schools opening in Longmont...I thought that Silver Creek was the newest...I did so much homework on schools before moving. Thanks again for your kind welcome! Denise :-)
