Itsy bitsy bottom

I took Connor to a trial Gymnastics class this afternoon at Airborne Gymnastics. He had a blast! He got to hop, jump, flip, flop, hang, swing, crawl, somersault and do headstands on very padded surfaces! He says his favorite part was the trampoline but he also liked swinging on the uneven bars, doing backward somersaults and crawling through the foam pit. We signed up for the class so he'll get to go 8 more times this summer! Woo hoo!

The dress code for boys for this class is a t-shirt and "snug fitting gym shorts" so yesterday we went to Wal-mart to buy some shorts. Most of the shorts he wears now are size 3T and are nowhere near snug fitting - in fact several of them (the ones that have elastic only in the back) are so loose that he's frequently pulling them up. So instead of just buying the next smaller size, I made him try on the shorts right there in the middle of the aisle. First we tried 2T - too big. Then 18 months - nope still too loose. 12 months? Surely those would be too small, right? They were perfect. Our 3 1/2 year old son fits perfectly into 12 month size shorts! Logan and Connor might be wearing the same size shorts later this summer...haha!

  1. My two year old is still wearing a pair of 3 - 6 month shorts his brother grew out of at 6 months. He is also wearing size 2 diapers. I fear his 6 week old sister will be wearing larger diapers before he is.

The gym class sounds like fun. Enjoyed the fire station pictures.
